A few links….
I meet a lot of interesting people, many of whom have a website for one reason or another. I thought I'd collate links to the various artists, photographers, printers, suppliers etc that I've got to know.
I met Kim Coley last year when she asked me to do some framing in preparation for North Yorkshire Open Studios. Kim has been a contributor to Open Studios for a number of years and juggles her passion for art alongside a career as a lawyer. I keep trying to convince her to ditch the law in favour of the art, but I've not managed to break her yet! Late last year, I acquired my first Kim original - the somewhat unusually entitled "Bad Fish" !
I've done a few jobs for Katie Burke who runs Portrait Profiles. Katie takes your photographs and turns them into fantastic silhouette artwork. I've had a framed sample of Katie's work in the workshop for a while now and customer's never cease to be intrigued by it. I just like the fact it's something a bit different and unique!
I was introduced recently to Jamie Sia who does wedding and lifestyle photography. Jamie has made the move fairly recently to being a full time photographer and I don't think he's looked back. I can see why Jamie would be popular with his clients as he's very amiable and has plenty of personality. If you look at some of the images on his website, you'll also see that he has a great eye for a shot. I've recently done a number of frames for him for a wedding fair that you can see here.
